S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia invites students aged 14 to 19 across Sri Lanka to participate at the All – innovation and entrepreneurship Competition which is being organised as part of our celebration of the 175th Year Anniversary of the founding of the College. This nation-wide competition and is designed to discover and nurture the next generation of Sri Lankan innovators and entrepreneurs and will challenge students to develop creative solutions to real-world problems while building essential skills for future success
Format & Eligibility: Open to all students across Sri Lanka who are between 14 years and 19 years on 3rd November 2025 (Date of Birth between 4 August 2005 and 3 August 2011).
Application Requirements: Written concept note in Sinhala, Tamil, or English (one - page document). Principal's signed certification letter. Consent and originality declaration.
Problem Identification: Ensure the problem has a clear need and large market. Begin with real-world, open-ended problems related to societal, environmental, or technological issues.
Business Model: Present the business model and its USPs, including any IP and entry barriers. Guide participants through key PBL phases including market analysis and solution development.
Team and Demonstration: Identifying teammates with complementary skills, a shared vision,adaptability, and a collaborative spirit who can work together effectively under pressure. Optional product demo or video presentation. Completed applications with all supporting documents required.Submission & Evaluation Process
Top 3 National Innovations: Recognizing the most innovative and comprehensive solutions across all categories.
Top 3 Most Impactful Solutions: Honoring projects with significant potential to address pressing social or environmental challenges.
Top 3 Women Entrepreneur Teams: Celebrating outstanding female-led innovation teams to encourage gender diversity in entrepreneurship.
Provincial Recognition: Special provincial awards to ensure representation from all regions of Sri Lanka.
Approximately 40 teams will be selected for the final exhibition in November 2025 at STC Mount Lavinia. Prizes may include certificates, trophies, recognition vouchers, school grants, or industry internships. Working as a team is suggested but not mandatory.

10th October 2025 : Top 30 finalists will be notified
25th October 2025 : Final Pitch presentation / Prepared speech (3 - 4 minutes), exhibition, and awards ceremony at S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia
Two coaching sessions will be available online; Dates to be finalized. Online Workshops Comprehensive sessions on ideation,business modeling and effective presentation techniques to help teams refine their concepts. Multilingual Materials Resources available in Sinhala, Tamil, and English to ensure accessibility for all participants regardless of language preference.
